If you read lala, you probably know who I am. However you may or may not know the woman behind me. Her name is Laurie and as our tag lines here go, I may run this joint but she runs me. Its because of her I am who I am, and able to do the work I do. And now lalawag is hers, yup she’s in charge now. I’ll still post and manage some of the site, but its going to be her voice that guides it.
Here is why I’m doing this:
- The technology and the start up spaces continue to be male dominated. However here in LA the ratio is tipping. This blog like this industry needs more of a female voice, less of the same old male ego toting.
- Laurie is probably 10 times the writer I am
- I already have a handful of blogs, sometimes its tough to manage them all. Before I fail whale lala, I want to give it the attention it deserves.
- I can say with great bias that Laurie is hot, savvy, smart and has a great visual eye. She brings a certain style this space has never seen.
- Because I said so.
