I’m not the kind of girl that buys the latest rag magazines to catch up on what celebrities are doing and wearing. The extent of my knowledge usually comes from headlines seen on these magazines as I stand in line at the grocery store. It’s hard not to notice when you see two gorgeous actors displayed on a cover supposedly sneaking a kiss on a movie set. Some of the stories eventually revel themselves as truth, but I often feel sorry for the celebrities involved. To be famous you have to endure a constant probing into your life to satisfy your fans.
So why am I following celebrities like Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher on Twitter? Because it’s information from their life but it’s coming straight from the source. There’s no journalist at the Enquirer taking a rumor and spinning it into a story to make headlines. This is them, sharing their life with us they way they choose too and it’s very refreshing to see. I’m actually interested for the first time in what goes on in their lives and how they react and interact with the people who follow them. I’m surprised by the amount they are sharing online, it’s great. Wouldn’t it be nice to get all of your celebrity news straight from the source? Apparently Ashton thinks so, he posted recently that he was taking his media exposure into his own hands. Is this the end of paparazzi, don’t I wish.
- I can now confirm that @iamdiddy is indeed as named. And is writing his own twitter updates. We are taking over our own tabloid media.

They have even talked some of their friends and family into joining like Rumer Willis and Soleil Moon Frye. Demi and Ashton tweeted one day that they were taking questions for five minutes that Bruce Willis would answer. How incredible is that! For the 81st Annual Academy awards this week, the Kutcher’s threw a party and linked to a quick video of just them. Unfortunately there was a “no pictures or video” rule for the guests but the few twitpics that were sent, the video, and tweets gave us a special peek into their night. I for one thought it was very cool.
