New Media Makes Old Media

Even as a new media kid, there are few honors higher than making print in an old media kind of way. Sure, seeing your name in RSS is great, but it doesn’t replace the feeling of picking up a paper and finding yourself among the pages.

So while most of us are trying to change the world one pixel at a time, it seems someone behind the ol’ printing press took notice. Out today, the latest issue of the LAWeekly spotlights the people making things happen in Los Angeles. The issue features several folks from the LA tech scene, including your lalawag editors.

Here’s the list:

We want to send a huge thanks out to Alexia Tsotsis as we owe this great privilege to her. Shes is the one who told, or maybe even demanded her editors take notice of the resurgence of LA tech. Her passion for the craft is inspiring, especially to those living a 140 character existence. So if you see her at a local tech event, please do say hello and thanks. Just try not to get too seduced by her captivating eyes and infectious laugh.

You can see everyone featured in this issue here.
