Apple to Buy Twitter?

Twitter or, as we like to call it, “The Little Startup that Could” is chugging its way through record growth each month. With such great numbers it’s no surprise that everyone wants a piece. So far Google and Facebook have come knocking, both having been shot down. So who’s next? A little birdie says it may be Apple.

Techcrunch and Valleywag are running a rumor that Apple is looking to buy Twitter. That makes sense right? I’m pretty sure I spend more time on my iPhone twittering than making actual phone calls. However this would be a new move for Apple, and one they aren’t likely to make.

Twitter’s growth and the service itself is something unique. I can’t help but feel the platform is still very much in its infancy. I’d also really hate to see any huge company scoop them up right now.

This birdie needs more time to fly.
