I’ve managed to find a few cool features in this app I’m not sure everyone knows about. So here are some of the best keep secrets of this little app of joy.
Landscape Keyboard
The landscape keyboard feature will be standard in the upcoming iPhone 3.0 software, but this feature has always been part of Tweetie.
To activate the landscape keyboard:
- Touch iPhone Settings IconÂ
- Scroll to bottom and touch Tweetie
- Touch Advanced
- Slide Landscape Keyboard to On
- Impress friends and lovers with your new QWERTY prowess
Themes
Yes Tweetie has themes, 3 of them called Simple, Chat Bubbles and the oh so goth Dark. Take a wild guess which one I use!
To change themes:
- Touch iPhone Settings IconÂ
- Scroll to bottom and touch Tweetie
- Click the theme name under the Appearance section
Popularity EnhancEr (PEE)
This is perfect for all you Los Angeles based fame whores, it’s the Popularity EnhancEr (PEE). Visit the official PEE page to learn how to turn this feature on, and yield its amazing power!
Switch Accounts in Mid-Tweet
If you manage multiple accounts, and find yourself in mid-tweet on the wrong account, you can easily switch to the right one. You won’t even lose your no doubt EPIC tweet in progress. Just touch where you see the user name and you get the following convenient pop-up window:
