Many of you may remember our post about saving your back, Halp the Internez Broke Sean. In the video Dr. Michael Dorausch mentions that in addition to good posture regular, exercise is important to keeping your back strong and your body healthly. Sean took his advice and is working out regularly, (OMG it’s awesome), and hopefully you are too.

We recently discovered a way to keep track of how often your working out and have your very own real live personal trainer, that you never have to leave your house to see. You can even select the trainer you want depending on how tough or sweet you need your motivation. Mine would need to scream at me each day and have promises of coffee upon completion.

The site is called FitOrbit and it is currently still in beta. Based in Los Angeles, they do a great job of connecting all you healthy people with not only a trainer, but articles on exercise and living healthy. You can even sign up to be a trainer, and watch videos of the current ones.

I took the trainer match quiz where they help you pick the best trainer for you based on the following criteria:

  • What type of exercise you would like to do
  • Your goals for fitness
  • Your living situation (Rommates, Spouse, etc.)
  • Your work environment
  • Specific body parts you would like to work
  • Favorite activities
  • Gender preference
  • Style (Drill Sergent, Cheerleader, etc.)

And here’s my match:

You get a profile, bio and can even view videos done by the trainer to get an idea of what they are like. Overall I think this is a pretty cool concept. Let us know in the comments if you have used the site and what you think of it.

Have fun exercising, for now I’ll be at home drinking coffee while surfing Twitter on my laptop.
