Last night Jeff Pulver was in town and invited LA Tech to come out and mingle at the Friends of the #140Conf Cocktail Party. It was held in the backroom of Lola’s, and had quite a good turn out. The general buzz around the room was positive and many people seemed to be speculating about what the agenda would be this time around.
The #140 Conference was started by Jeff Pulver and focuses mainly on the effects of Twitter in relation to celebrities, Media, Advertising, and a whole lot more. The first conference was held on June 16/17 in New York, this time around when it comes to LA they will be taking a look at twitter as a platform and some of the industries which have been disrupted by the advent of Twitter.
The 140 Characters Conference is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, October 27/28, 2009. One of the unique things about the conference is the long list of speakers, 140 to be exact.
Jeff is currently seeking creative, out-of-the-box thinkers to come forward and pitch an idea they would like to discuss at the conference. Last day to enter is Friday, July 24th for more details check out The Jeff Pulver Blog.
