Sued for $50,000 Over Moldy Tweet

Apartment management companies are well known for their greedy horrible ways. Anyone who has ever tried to get a fair amount of their deposit back already know this. Personally I’ve come to accept that when I rent an apartment I won’t be getting much else besides a roof over my head. I know my requests for maintenance will go unanswered, and come move out day my deposit shall become nothing more than a fleeting memory.

I would complain about such things on Twitter however now it appears even that can get you sued. Yes, Horizon Group Management LLC is suing a Twitter user for $50,000 after they expressed concern over mold found in one of their buildings. The Twitter user had a whooping 20 followers. As you can imagine, this message was read by millions and caused permanent damage to the company.

Like any good clueless corporation, they were quick to mention they’re a “sue first and ask questions later kind of an organization.” We tried to contact them for additional information but unfortunetly we only managed to reach their voicemail.

So we decieded to have a little fun. Enjoy.
