Attention Men: The “Girls Club” is Open

Contrary to some men’s beliefs, Girls in Tech events are not for “women” only. Ever since the first mixer that introduced the organization to our fine city, men have always been encouraged to attend.

In fact, if I was a single man in Los Angeles, the GIT events are the ones that I would be sure to make an appearance at. Where else are you going to find a concentration of intelligent women who are interested in the same geeky stuff you are?

Girls in Tech is giving you another opportunity to meet new people and learn a little bit about going green and making green. This Tuesday, join them for cocktails and conversation at The Organic Panaficio, where they will discuss how going green and doing good is impacting the tech industry and the companies that it is embracing.

Because you’re awesome and you read lalawag, you have the chance to win a ticket to the event. Just send out a tweet with a few key pieces of into in it and tell us if you would rather learn how to do good or make green. For example, your tweet could look like this:

“Hey @lalawag I would rather learn how to make green at the GIT Good and Green Panel because you can’t buy Jimmy Choo’s with monopoly money.”

Be sure to include @lalawag, a reference to the Girls In Tech panel and if your’e interested in good or green. Other than that you are free to be creative with your remaining characters. We’ll pick the best two tweets and those lucky people will get a free ticket to the event. We will pick the winners by end of day on Friday, good luck!

Not funny or creative? No problem, just click here and purchase your ticket now.
