The thing that was just announced is utter shit.
It doesn’t do what I expected it to do. The things it does do, it does differently than I expected.
By the way, good luck not supporting the feature that a lot of people use. That feature is popular! People are gonna be pissed this popular gadget doesn’t have it. That feature has been around in the past and will therefore be around forever.
But back to those things it does differently. What’s up with that? I’m used to doing things this way, and it does things that way! People don’t want to learn that. And they certainly won’t pay extra to make the popular gadget do some things the old way. People don’t like things that are different.
And yet this gadget was weirdly similar to the other gadget. What’s up with that? I want a new gadget! Technology has never progressed through iterative upgrades and fixes, only massively unexpected new inventions. But at the same time those inventions need to work exactly like the old ones.
The fanboys want me to buy that this is the future, but I say it looks a lot like this older gadget that didn’t work very well. Obviously the creators of the current gadget couldn’t have learned from those mistakes.
Oh plus this thing looks ugly.
No thank you William Gates, you keep your “Windows.” I’m sticking with my Apple Lisa, and so will everybody else. You’ll see.
