Web TV Workshop, Hollywood’s first Web TV school, is currently having open enrollment for their next set of class sessions starting on Monday June 7th, 2010. WTVW was founded by Diahnna Nicole Baxter and Damian Pellicionne, both of which have extensive experience in the Web TV and New Media space. The school is designed to give students the knowledge needed to take their idea and make it into a successful web series.
The course consists of six classes that are taught over the span of four weeks. Each class is geared towards a specific segment of web content and new media that will help the students get their “idea to audience” successfully. Classes will cover production, creative development, post production and one of the most important aspects of the business you can learn, marketing and advertising. If you have a great product but no one knows about it how would you ever succeed?
An essential part of the class schedule are the talented and accomplished speakers that are lined up to speak in class and during the pro-panel. The In Class speaker list for the next course includes union representatives from WGA, SAG, AFTRA and PGA, like:
- Elizabeth Flack – WGA New Media Rep
- Joanna Mamey – SAG New Media Contracts
- Phillip Daniels (New Media Law)
- Jennifer Holland-Still New Media Representative AFTRA
- Chris Dzialo Transmedia Outreach Specialist
- Kim Bailey (Production Designer/Branding)
- Matt Skallerud – Social Media Marketing Expert
The Pro-panel speaker sessions will be live streamed and feature interviews with successful Web TV professionals. Web TV Workshop has teamed up with Mingle Media TV to create an environment where the audience and show hosts will engage in real-time conversations. Anyone watching the live stream will also have the opportunity to participate via Twitter by following and tweeting questions to @webtvworkshop.
