The iPhone 4 has been delivered into a few hands a day or two earlier than the official release date, which is tomorrow. Of course, as can be expected, the good folks over at ifixit have posted their teardown of the iPhone 4 from start to finish. There aren’t a whole lot of surprises to be found at this point, with most of the exterior visuals and product specs already released. However, there were a few things that caught my eye and made me take a closer look.

Start with the complete parts layout and see if anything strikes your eye, then take a closer look at the second two shots. In the first one you’ll see the new rear-facing 5 MP camera with 720p video at 30 FPS, tap to focus feature, and LED flash. This is one of the top upgrades from the iPhone 3GS’s mere 2.5 MP camera. In the last photo we’ve got a group of new items to ponder. On the right is the new A4 powerhouse made by Samsung. On the left is the 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 core. Both of these are identical to the chips in the iPad. And what have we got in the middle? Any guesses? It’s the new 3 axis gyroscope that is believed to be designed and manufactured by ST Micro.

If this gets your appetite up for some more iPhone 4 teardown pics, be sure and visit ifixit.com for the complete teardown details.
