Collecta Comes to L.A.: Collecta is moving to L.A.! Since their entire team will be in town on tomorrow, they are throwing a meet and greet, and you’re invited, since you real lalawag. ;-)
They haven’t got their new digs set up yet, so they are currently working out of the Coloft in Santa Monica. RSVPs are requested to help them guesstimate how many people are going to show up, but if you don’t get around to sending an RSVP, that shouldn’t stop you from going!

Perseids Meteor Shower: This is one of the most famous meteor showers, responsible for the majority of meteor sightings by everyday people (non-astronomy geeks). The peak is after midnight on the 11th and will run through the night of the 12th. The Perseids in particular are known to produce up to 50 meteors or more per hour, which makes it one of the best showers of the year.
Time: Between midnight and dawn
Location: The Skies of the World (near the constellation Perseus)
