Sherman Oaks Castle Park- $9.50
Whether you’re looking for a cute first date activity or a bearable afternoon of babysitting, Sherman Oaks Castle Park has what you need. With mini-golf for $6.50 and $3 per round of batting cages, it’s easy to rediscover your inner child without breaking the bank (as long as you go easy on those arcade tokens).
World on Wheels- $12 w/skate rental
While it may not be as fancy as other LA roller rinks, its hip location and creative theme nights (such as Gothic and 70s Space Disco nights) make this place a favorite for hardcore skaters as well as beginnings. And when you get tired of skating, there’s a bowling alley and karaoke bar upstairs.
Leave the car in the garage, hop on your bicycle, and explore the concrete jungle. Happening the first Friday of every month, RIDE-Arc Night Ride a two hour, architectural themed bike ride. Come out for some adventure, social vibes, and exercise!
California Science Center- $15-$20
With permanent exhibits available to see free of charge (with $8 parking), the California Science Center also always offers new exhibits and IMAX. Prices of new exhibits and IMAX vary by age group and member status but will usually run about $15-$20.
Dodger Stadium Flea Market- $9
This event is held once a month. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure! Go treasure hunting for some kitschy, cool stuff. You may even find a gem.
Samuel Oschin Planetarium- $3-$7
Escape the city smog and explore the wonders of the universe. Currently offering two different live shows, the Samuel Oschin Planetarium takes you on an adventure of life and the solar system. While you’re there, you can also visit the Griffith Observatory free of charge.
