This hasn’t been a good week for Yahoo.  After recently announcing a round of layoffs, the company is reportedly set to remove upload ability in their YouTube-like video site, Yahoo Video.   A notice on the site stated that Yahoo will be removing the ability for users to upload a video to the site, and will be removing all user-generated content from the site in the Spring of 2011.

Yahoo has struggled to compete with YouTube and even Facebook for traffic to its video site and is obviously shifting focus away from user-generated content.  For those of you who don’t know (most of America), Yahoo! Video was a destination where you could upload, share videos, and watch millions of other videos from across Yahoo!  Stay tuned for more updates on what’s going on over at Yahoo!
