MIC Gadget Introduces 3-in-1 iPad Camera Card Reader

MIC Gadget has introduced more reasons to make iPad owners happy by combining the features of Apple’s iPad Camera Connection Kit into a single device with its 3-in-1 Camer Connection Kit. Unlike Apple’s kit that includes Dock port adapters, MIC Gadget’s kit is a single adapter with a USB port, SD card slot and Micro SD slot.

Aside from packing its ports into a single dongle, MIC Gadget’s kit also boasts of a couple features Apple’s kit is lacking: a Micro SD card slot and black or white color choices.

The 3-in-1 Camera Connection Kit is priced at US$29.90 and is available for pre-order now. MIC Gadget says it will ship after Christmas.

mSpot introduces cloud-based streaming music service to iPhones

More good things for iPhone users: Mobile entertainment startup mSpot is reportedly bringing its free music cloud service that lets you sync your entire music collection across mobile phones and PCs/Macs to iPhones with the launch of a new app. The service has seen over 1 million downloads of a similar app for Android phones since its public launch in June.

mSpot’s application allows users to upload their music to the mSpot Cloud and then listen to the music from both desktop browsers and iPhones for free.

The application works in the background of your computer and phone managing the upload and day-to-day syncing of your music library. But there’s more: it can also upload metadeta along with music, including playlists, coverart, ratings and song information you may have entered using iTunes. The application will make automatic updates whenever changes occur in your library, re-sync music when new songs are added, across different connected devices as well.

This new iPhone app will also feature continuous playback, the ability to see lyrics of songs, and a “Streaming only” option for users who want to save all the storage on their mobiles for other media.

mSpot offers free storage for the first 2 gigabytes (approximately 1600 songs). Users can also pay around $3.99 per month for 40 GB of music in the cloud, which includes roughly 32,000 songs.

mSpot is a mobile entertainment company that delivers music, movies, radio and TV to more than six million mobile customers across 10 wireless carriers.

Google updates its Voice App for iPad and iPod touch

Google has announced Tuesday that it has updated its Google Voice App Store application to support the iPad and iPod touch. The application, which Google and Apple faced off over last year before Apple finally approved the app in November, offers an interface for interacting with Google’s telephone service.

Users can download a new version of Google Voice that lets them use all the features of the app on these devices, such as sending and receiving free text messages. While iPad and iPod touch users won’t be able to use the Google Voice app for cellular phone calls using the service, Google has developed a system known as Click2Call that allows users to initiate calls through other devices.

All users have to do is click any ‘Call’ button in the Google Voice app on their iPod or iPad and then select which of their phones they want to ring. Google Voice will then call the phone and then connect the call.

The update also includes the ability to set “do not disturb” times during which all calls are sent directly to voicemail and improvements for initiating calls from the address book.
