Whether you are a proud owner of an iPhone or you have an iPod touch, you probably find yourself playing games every now and then. If you’re like me, then you also don’t like paying for these games. Check out the top five free games from the App Store.

5) Angry Birds Lite

With an average of four and a half stars out of over 365 thousand ratings, Angry Birds is quite the popular game with those procrastinators looking to enjoy some intellectually stimulating time launching birds at different objects. However, don’t let the funny concept fool you. It does in fact take skill to succeed at this game.

4) Solitaire

I can’t think of anything better to kill some time than a good game of Solitaire. Whether I’m on the subway heading somewhere or in a doctor’s waiting room, Solitaire never fails.

3) LightBike Free

With “Tron Legacy” recently released in theaters, light bikes are sure to make a comeback in many ways. One of my favorite games to play on the iPod Touch is LightBike, a pretty thrilling game considering how small the screen is. Battle the other bikers and outlast your foes!

2) Tap Tap Revenge

DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for your fingers. When this first came out it was one of the most popular games available. Now with the fourth version available for free, TTR is still very popular. Play this game enough and you might start surprising yourself at just how quickly your fingers can move.

1) Words With Friends Free

If I had to pick one game that was truly worth wasting my time on, Words With Friends would undoubtedly be it. Even though I was never crazy about Scrabble the board game, I’ve become quite the Words With Friends addict. With the ability to battle your friends and even talk some trash with the chat feature, WWF is the best free game available.
