MobileMe’s New Find My Friends Feature
Rumor are circulating that Apple will soon be adding a new “Find My Friends” feature to its MobileMe service. The news reportedly came out with the release of the latest iOS developer build which is turning out to be rife with a list of new devices and functionality including in-app AirPlay video support, a carrier-dependent personal WiFi hotspot, a comeback of the physical orientation lock switch, and a host of new multi-touch gestures.
The Find My Friends feature will likely offer functionality akin to the free Google Latitude app, a location-based friend-finding service. Services like Loopt allow users to find friends within their vicinity at any given time by leveraging their mobile phone’s GPS signal. The constant updates can broadcast the user’s location to his friends to know who is nearby. Google tweaks Translate App for Android, makes it conversational
Well now you can quit worrying about conversing with the new guy you met who unfortunately can only speak in Spanish.
Google has tweaked the Translate App for Android platform with a host of interesting changes to help users. The new Translate for Android App promises to enable two-way speech that lets users to converse with a person speaking another language. Translate App supports up to 53 languages and voice input for 15 languages.
Translate for Android App now features new drop down boxes for easier selection and interactivity. Google has launched a new Conversation mode that works only for translation between English and Spanish. This Conversation mode has been optimized for letting users communicate with a person speaking another language. To use this Conversation mode, simply press on the Microphone icon and speak the word or phrase.
So to talk to your new Spanish friend here, all you have to do is load Translate app, press the Microphone icon and then speak to the phone in English. Google Translate App will translate your speech and read out the translation through the mobile phone speaker. When your Spanish friend responds to you, Google Translate will again translate the Spanish words into English. Nifty, isn’t it?
Translate for Android App is available in Google Market for smartphones running Android 2.1 or higher.

Her free iPhone app, developed by Randy Adams and his LA-based Celebrity Apps company, was released this past Tuesday. Apparently it was “designed” by Audrina herself.
