There’s a lot of wonderful qualities of our great city of Los Angeles, but finding parking is not one of them. Fortunately, one of our own local startups, Parking In Motion, has come up with a solution in the form of a free iPhone app to help people to not only find parking in Los Angeles, but also in over 300 other US cities.

P.I.M will allow you to find the nearest parking structure/space on your phone and tell you how much it costs, and sometimes will even let you reserve a spot right on the spot.

Unfortunately, in our very short time with the app, we’ve noticed some sluggish performance when searching and loading parking spots, but there does seem to be a lot of results when doing searches of the places you would need parking at (Santa Monica, Hollywood, Downtown LA). All of the issues seem fixable in the long run, though, so we hope P.I.M. continues to refine the app and experience in the near future.

Give the app a whirl, and let us know in the comments if its making your life easier!
