In a move that is eyebrow-raising, but not entirely unsurprising, Google has begun tightening its policies on its Android code licensing for mobile hardware manufacturers. It’s reserving the right to have final approval over who gets the latest Android code based on their plans for the software.
What I still see many companies and startups not “getting” is falling into the trap of making their blog about self-promotion, rather than providing content that people would actually want to read. Write good enough content, be insightful, and the work will promote itself.

Lost in the midst of the hubbub over a possible iPhone 5 delay and Amazon’s launch of a cloud music playing service is the fact that Nintendo launched the first glasses-free 3D handheld console this past Sunday, the 3DS.
In the beginning there was sheep throwing. Virtual goods were free, limitless and innumerable when the Facebook Developer platform launched. The marginal cost of production of a virtual good is zero. Therefore supply is infinite. And the value of a virtual sheep is zero. The New York Times is facing a similar challenge to the providers of throwable sheep.
