ValleyGirl.tv and Coincident TV launched a new interactive video experience today that can be found here. The interactive site features Jesse Draper, the Valley Girl, interviewing big shots like Ted Turner, Justin Kan of Justin.tv, and Kai Huang, one of the creators of Guitar Hero. The interactive experience was built and designed by Coincident.tv and uses their platform. The goal is to “merge online video, social media, weblinks and commercial transactions in one immersive experience,” according to David Kaiser, the co-founder and CEO of Coincident TV (CTV). The site does this by integrating Valley Girl Show interviews with social media plugins and popup links to related videos and web sites. This what the future of web video distribution looks like.
If you’re unfamiliar with “The Valley Girl Show,” it’s a fun-spirited talk show that features interviews with some of the top CEOs and entrepreneurs in the world. Past episodes have included guests such as Scott McNealy, founder of S.U.N. Microsystems, to Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors, and the show was recently called “Must-see TV for startups” by USA TODAY. This is a great opportunity to check it out and play with CTV’s technology platform. Tweet your comments and feedback @valleygirlshow and @coincident_tv. They’d love to hear your thoughts.
Reminder for all of our Bay Area readers: Jesse Draper will be interviewing Guy Kawasaki tomorrow March 2nd at Stanford as part of the DFJ Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders Series. Kawasaki will be discussing his latest book, Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions. The book explores when and why enchantment is necessary, and the pillars of enchantment: likability, trustworthiness, and a great cause. If you want to change the world — or even part of the world, make sure to attend this special event. This seminar is the closing event of Stanford Entrepreneurship Week 2011.
