The New York Times Subscription Fees Visualized [infographic]

By now, you’ve undoubtedly heard about the New York Times’ new paid online subscription rates. What you may not realize, though, is just how ridiculous their “unlimited” rates are when compared to what other services you could buy for that money.

The Understatement has put up a chart of some leading content subscriptions and their associated yearly costs:

Faced with a choice of how to spend your limited amount of money and it’s quite obvious what most people would do. (Hint: It’s probably not “subscribe to the New York Times online)

Granted, the number for the New York Times is based off of the most expensive plan, but it’s comparable to the others in that the prices quoted here are for unlimited access across the most devices possible for each service.
