If you’re a child of the 70′s or 80′s, you undoubtedly remember the View-Master, a toy that let you see 3D slideshows of far away places or film/TV scenes on paper disks each holding 7 images.

Our friends over at BorderStylo (creators of GLASS) are channeling this feel of nostalgia with their new free iPhone/Android App, Retrollect. It’s essentially a scrapbook album creator in the style of the old View-Master disks. You can pull photos, status updates, or Tweets and compile them into an “album.” Like Instagram, each Retrollect album gets its own unique URL that you can push out to your friends however you want, like this one. If you view an album on your phone, though, it’s presented in a very slick format, allowing you to swipe back and forth to change the “slide.”

It’ll be interesting to see whether people are invested enough to create and share albums this way once the initial novelty factor wears off, though.

You can give it a try for free here if you have an iPhone or Android mobile device.
