Launched in 2007 by composers Michael Barry and Machael Patti, Cinesamples is a company that develops innovative virtual instruments and music software.  What makes them so popular?  According to their users, it’s the high quality sound of their virtual instruments, and more importantly, their reasonable pricing.  Barry and Patti moved from Long Island, New York to Los Angeles to start the company with a focus on helping like-minded composers who were interested in using new technology to drive innovation in the industry.

Cinesamples’ instruments have been used all over the world and have been featured in numerous blockbuster films, television, trailer and video game releases.  Using the open forum on the website, composers and others interested in Cinesamples can also discuss different instruments and niche libraries offered by the company, sample ideas and suggestions for future libraries, keep up with updates, or even just say hello to the community of musicians and artists.

Some of their products include:

  • CineBrass (Orchestral Brass Library)
  • CineOrch (Tutti Octaves and Chors for Orchestral Mockup Enhancement)
  • HOLLYWOODWINDS (Orchestral Woodwind Ensemble Runs and Effects)
  • CineSnares (Orchestral Snare Library)
  • Drums of War (Original Massive War Drum Library)
  • Iron Guitars (Guitars for Orchestral Layering)
