GumGum Sticks $2.6M in Funding

Image licensing startup GumGum has secured an additional 2.6 Million in funding led by GRP Partners. The service, which offers high quality images for publishers, stands to reinvent the image license model with an innovative offering. Instead of paying the usual ridiculous image costs, publishers can pay under an affordable CPM model or with a free ad supported option. Genius.

For many publishers high quality images drive the content. They make it compelling, sexy and engaging. Without them content becomes flat, yet another article floating out there amid the endless web. The appropriately named GumGum does just that, makes your site sticky.

Congrats to the entire team which includes MySpace savior (and my former boss) Mike Jones.
