Weekend Housekeeping

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for lala’s first week. Based on the feedback I’m getting, this site is either going to be great or completely ruin me. I hope you stay tuned to find out.

Here are a few updates on whats coming up next:

Content

We are still working out the content flow and rhythm around here. For the most part, Alaska is covering news for us on a daily basis. Eventually we’ll start to flush out the other sections such as events, people and articles. We have a few more folks interested in writing as well so look out for them.

Gossip

Honestly, gossip is a somewhat dirty business. Yes a delicious enticing dirty business. I’m still setting the tone and level for how far we go with this. Valleywag used to say “We don’t stab people in back, we stab them in face”. I always felt that was a good approach. At the same time I don’t want become hated in this business, just mildly feared.

Events

When starting this site I felt the Los Angeles event scene would be a big part of it. Everything from announcing upcoming events, to covering them, and finally capturing some of their back stories. We’ve got some cool things in the works to handle this. I’m thinking of new ways events can get coverage, and attendees get involved. Whether its  a small get together for drinks at Loews hotels, or big event like Twiistup, we want to be there.

Staying Tuned

Naturally in this hyper linked environment there are lots of ways you can follow lala. Please grab the rss feed, follow us on Twitter and subscribe through FriendFeed

Thanks,
Management
